Yaskawa SGM

The Yaskawa SGM lines are Yaskawa Servo Systems and Motion Controllers.  The Yaskaw SGM models are rotary servo motors and the Yaskawa company was the first to mass produce servomotors using a segmented stator design.  This design uses individually wound stator segments that are grouped together, and press fit into the motor body and then impregnated with resin.  This process resulted in improved heat transfer, dramatic reduction in motor size and cost, and the best quality and reliability available.  Yaskawa is the the largest servo motor manufacturer in the world. 

Yaskawa SGM - SGMJV-Sigma-5

This Yaskawa SGM series are small capacity brushless servomotor and can be used in a variety of applications.  A wide selection of rated output of 50W to 750W with holding brake and gear options.  Maximum speed of 6,000 rpm and instantaneous peak torque (350% of rated torque).  It comes with a mounted high resolution serial encoder and medium inertia.

The SGMAV is a brushless, small capacity servo motor with rated output of 50W, 100W, 150W, 200W, 400W, 550W, 750W.  They are extremely low inertia with super-high power rate and instantaneous peak torque of 300% of rated torque.  Maximum speed of 6,000 rpm with a mounted high resolution serial encoder-20-bit.

This servo motor is a brushless medium capacity and can be used in a variety of applications.  Rated Output Of : 300W, 450W, 850W, 1.3kW, 1.8kW, 2.9kW, 4.4kW, 5.5kW, 7.5kW, 11kW, 15kW.  It has a 20-bit mounted high resolution serial encoder, with maximum speed of 3000 rpm and medium inertia.  Holding brake and shaft seal options available with a protective structure of IP67.

This series of the SGM brushless servomotor with rated output of  1.0kW, 1.5kW, 2.0kW, 2.5kW, 3.0kW, 4.0kW, 5.0kW, 7.0kW.  With low inertia and maximum speed of 5000 rpm with a 20-bit mounted high resolution serial encoder.  Holding brake and shaft seal are some options available with a protective structure of IP67.

Yaskawa SGM - SGMAH Sigma II

This Yaskawa SGM series of servomotor has a low-inertia design for extremely fast accelerations and short settling times.  It is available with five frame sizes including NEMA 23 and NEMA 34 flanges which provides up to 1,010 oz-in of peak torque.  The 100 and 200 volt windings are available with rated speeds of 3,000 rpm and maximum speeds of 5,000 rpm.  Options include a 65,536 ppr absolute encoder, NEMA flange, shaft seal, and holding brake.  A 8,192 ppr incremental serial encoder is standard.  Rated Output: 30W, 50W, 100W, 200W, 400W, 750W

Yaskawa SGM - SGMPH Sigma II

The SGMPH servomotor is a medium inertia design with a flat profile providing the highest torque-per-length ratio available.  This Yaskawa SGM model are designed for optimized load matching.  There are five frame sizes providing up to 2,027 oz-in of peak torque. The 8,192 ppr incremental serial encoder is standard.  It is rated IP55 which provides resistance to moisture.  Options include a 65,536 ppr absolute encoder, gearmotor, shaft seal, and holding brake.

Yaskawa SGM - SGMAH Sigma II

The SGMAH has rated output of 0.45kW, 0.85kW, 1.3kW, 1.8kW, 2.9kW, 4.4kW, 5.5kW, 7.5kW, 11kW, 15kW.  It has a medium inertia rotor and with the segmented stator design which dramatically reduces overall size.  They are design for applications requiring optimized load matching.  It is available in 10 sizes from 500 watts to 15kW providing up to 1,988 lb-in of peak torque.  The 200 and 400 volt windings are available with rated speeds of 1,500 rpm and maximum speeds of 3,000 rpm.  A 131,072 ppr incremental serial encoder is standard.  Because of the low base speed, medium inertia rotor, and high resolution encoder allowing many applications to be solved without a gearbox.  The SGMGH is rated IP67 (not including the shaft) providing resistance to moisture. Options include a 131,072 ppr absolute encoder, gearmotor, shaft seal, and holding brake.

Yaskawa SGM - SGMSH Sigma II

The SGMSH are well suited for high cycle-rate applications with their high torque-to-inertia ration and the segmented stator design, which reduces overall size.  There are 6 sizes from 1kW to 5kW providing up to 422-lb-in of peak torque.  A 131,072 ppr incremental serial encoder is standard.

Yaskawa SGM - SGMUH Sigma II

This Yaskawa SGM model comes in rated output of 1.0kW, 1.5kW, 2.0kW, 3.0kW, 4.0kW, 5.0kW.  It has a high torque-to-inertia ratio for high cycle-rate applications.  400 volt windings are available with maximu7m speeds of 6,000.  A 131,072 ppr incremental serial encoder is standard.

Yaskawa SGM - SGMBH Sigma II

The Yaskawa SBMBH has an internal permanent magnet design which reduces rotor inertia.  Their are best suited for highly dynamic, high power applications such as hydraulic system replacement.  There are 5 sizes from 22kW to 55 kW and the 400 volt windings are available with rated speeds of 1,500 rpm and maximum speeds of 2,000 rpm.   A 131,072 ppr incremental serial encoder is standard. Options include a 131,072 ppr absolute encoder, shaft seal, and holding brake.

Yaskawa SGM - SGMCS Direct Drive

These servomotor line are designed for direct drive applications where the load is directly attached to the motor surface.  This direct drive technology reduces the number of mechanical components, eliminates backlash, and provides a stiff mechanical system for highly dynamic applications.  With pre-tapped mounting holes and a hollow-through shaft which permits a variety of machine designs.  This Yaskawa SGM direct drive motors have substantial load carrying bearings, low speed windings and 1,048,576 ppr absolute encoders.  There are 17 sizes available with up to 5,210 lb-in of peak torque.

Yaskawa SGM - SGMM Sigma Mini

This servomotor series are designed for precise control of very small loads with rated output of 10W and 20W.  An 8,192 ppr incremental encoder is standard. The SGMM is rated IP55 (not including the shaft). Options include a holding brake and shaft with or without a flat.
