Yaskawa V7

The Yaskawa V7 is the perfect choice whenever you need a high performance drive and a compact size is required.  With many enhanced functions and performance it can handle all types of applications easily and globally.  The PWM design provides low motor noise and high starting torque.  Yaskawa V7 has two control methods; V/Hz and also open loop vector control for precision speed regulation applications.  The Yaskawa's 7 with its loop vector control also provides higher torque at lower speeds.  This VFD is intended for constant torque applications, with current overload rating of 150% for 60 seconds.

Yaskawa V7 - Handles All Types of Applications

The Yaskawa V7 with its strong starting torque and stable operation at low speed provided by unique sensor less vector control technology.  The V7 includes a extensive software library and flash memory with instant backup makes this VFD a excellent drive for demanding applications.  The digital operator offers 4-digit LED status display with a built-in analog speed potentiometer, as well as digital programming of almost 200 parameters.  It is the perfect solution for speed/follower applications with it digital pulse train input providing a precise frequency input.  The seven standard multifunction inputs can be programmed to allow for 17 preset speeds.  The Yaskawa's V7 has an analog input, a multifunction output, two multifunction open collector outputs, and an analog output as standard.

A RS485 Modbus RTU communication port is standard with the Yaskawa V7, allowing 23 nodes on a single network.  Plug-in-interface option boards enable the Yaskawa V7 to communicate with all the major networks, such as Profibus, DeviceNet and others.  The option board is easily installed via simple snap-in connectors directly on the drive control board. 

The Yaskawa V7 has the outstanding option of the Drive Wizard.  This software enables upload, download, and monitoring of parameters.  Another software option is CASE, which can add functionality to the drive by reconfiguring drive defaults, established presets for OEM equipment, and by eliminating peripheral controls and PLCs.

The Yaskawa V7 is easy to operate and maintained, with its one-touch control design.  The frequency setting potentiometer is just "plug-and-play".  The cooling fan is easy to replace and a copy function is provided for batch management of constant upload/downloads.  With Yaskawa's quality and global specifications, the Yaskawa V7 is designed to comply with international standards, voltages (200/400V) and networks.

The Yaskawa V7N, a version of the V7, is available with DeviceNet embedded in the drive control board, reducing cost and installation time.  Another version is the V74X and is designed with integral NEMA 4X/12 enclosure for dusty and wet environments.  The Yaskawa V7 comes with a NEMA 1 enclosures ranging in size from 1/8 to 10 HP at 230Vac and 1/2 to 10 HP at 460 VAC.  The V7 was previously named GPD 315/V7.
